AMSynth sees new release

AMSynth version 1.7.0 has just been released. AMSynth is an open source realtime software synthesizer for Linux. Its operation is similar to analog Moog Minimoog and Roland Juno-60, which are considered classic synthesizers from the 1970s. It is available in various formats, including LV2 and DSSI plugins as well as JACK/ALSA standalone clients.

Changes in this release include -

 Vee One Suite 0.7.6 released

Days after his Qstuff* end of Summer'16 release frenzy, Rui Nuno Capela releases the Eleventh beta release of his Vee One Suite, version 0.7.6. This suite of plugins includes -

Helm

Helm

Helm is a free, cross-platform, polyphonic synthesizer that runs on GNU/Linux, Mac, and Windows as a standalone program and as a LV2/VST/AU/AAX plugin. It sounds absolutely enormous, has a very distinct personality, and is generally very fun to use.

The release is in beta, but given a powerful enough machine to handle the very busy UI, it is remarkably stable.

Hear a very in-depth discovery of HELM on the Open Source Musician Podcast, complete with a tour of all the preset patches.

Infamous Plugins v0.2.0 pre-announcement

Spencer Jackson has just made a pre-announcement about the release of Infamous Plugins v0.2.0. As you may remember, Spencer uses a donate system whereby he initially releases the plugins DSP code, with donations thereafter pushing forward the release date for the plugins in all their GUI glory. Infamous plugins aim to "fill some holes, supplying non-existing plugins for linux audio".
