Drumgizmo user, Sardonicus, has recently released an eight channel drumkit for Drumgizmo called 'ShittyKit'. Shitty by name, not so shitty by nature, this is Drumgizmo's first ever user created drumkit.

This kit is a Stagg Gia drumkit with the following instrument channels -

  • Ch 1: Kick
  • Ch 2: Snare
  • Ch 3: 12” Tom
  • Ch 4: 14” Floor tom
  • Ch 5 and 6: Overheads
  • Ch 7 and 8: Room

drumkv1 (yes, lowercase) is an old-school all-digital drum-kit sampler synthesizer with stereo fx created by Qtractor author Rui Nuno Capela.

It comes as a stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support.

DrumGizmo version 0.9.8.1-hotfix released!

The DrumGizmo developers have just pushed out a hot fix release, version 0.9.8.1. This fixes a rather serious bug in the resampling code that would cause sample skewing over the channels when resampling was enabled.

The latest version can be downloaded at drumgizmo.org

Don't forget you can visit the official DrumGizmo IRC channel at the Freenode network.
